luck, not that you will need it.
You gained a lot of experience here; shifty winds; light winds on Saturday
and Sunday proved to be the high wind test. The RC enjoyed every minute of
your high speed runs! Nice Job!

"I’m delighted to say that the Boyne City Yacht Club Michigan District Lightning Regatta was awarded as Best Regatta
of 2009. I have a framed certificate to present that will hopefully be displayed at the club corner of the BRI. I’ll have it in
Boyne City on my next trip up.
Congratulations, job well done and warm regards to BCYC, Commodore Kurt Wietzke, Race Fleet Captain and Vice
Commodore Dave Malusi, to yourself, to Adam Hubble and to your volunteers. There are many factors that go into the
Best Regatta award. Some of those are the venue, race management, protest management, hospitality, housing, food,
beer, etc. Your club and the volunteers were exemplary in all those areas but particularly with regard to race
management: fair starts, square courses, crash boat assistance and just plain great sailing."
